OUTREACH – April 12, 2025,               

      OVERVIEW;                     

    On April 12, 2025, sunX, a community-centered outreach event, was held in. The event was a joint initiative by Walking1, sunX and 7Best, aiming to bring joy to children in the area, especially young girls. The day was filled with fun, learning, and heartfelt giving.

These organizers and sponsors not only planned and sponsored the event they also made generous donations to benefit the children and local children’s homes.

ACTIVITIES & HIGHLIGHTS;              

     The event was vibrant and energetic, featuring a wide range of activities designed to engage and empower the children:    

                       ~Games & Entertainment:                                                                                                                                                                                    

     Kids participated in fun physical and board games including skating, hoverboarding, jumping on trampolines, chess, and Jenga. A live DJ kept the energy high with music, allowing the kids to dance and enjoy themselves throughout the day.               

                    ~Motivational Talks:    

   Inspiring motivational speakers addressed both boys and girls, sharing life advice, encouragement, and uplifting messages tailored at each group’s unique needs and challenges.              

                  ~ Snacks & Refreshments:              

  After activities, children were served snacks and drinks, offering a moment to relax, chat, and refuel.               

                  ~Girls Empowerment Session:            

   Girls were later gathered for a special session focusing on menstrual hygiene education. They were advised on the use and importance of sanitary pads. Each girl received 4 sanitary pads, while 2 full cartons of pads were donated to a nearby children’s home in need.                                

 CLOSING NOTE :      

  Although the event had to be cut short due to rain, the impact was significant and the atmosphere remained warm and joyful. The children left with bright smiles, useful knowledge, and a sense of being seen and supported.                   

  CONCLUSION:             

 The sunX  event was a meaningful success, combining fun, education, and care in a way that truly touched the lives of the children in Migori. The dedication of Walking1, sunX, and 7Best to the community outreach continues to shine, making a real difference where it matters most.
